Dr. Argo Announces Plan to Retire
In 1970, Family Medical Center was located on C Avenue East and had yet to grow enough to warrant the west side building addition. But the clinic was growing, as were the medical needs of the area. And it was during that time of growth Oskaloosa and the surrounding communities welcomed a new family physician, Dr. Charles Argo, as he began his practice at the clinic.
Now 37 years later, Dr. Argo is announcing his retirement to his patients, Family Medical Center’s staff, and the communities he has willingly served.
“It has been a privilege to provide medical care to you and your family members over the past 37 years,” said Dr. Argo in a letter sent to his patients. “I will be retiring on July 1, 2007. I will miss the long term relationships that have been formed.”
Dr. Argo’s scope of practice throughout the years has included Family Practice, Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Iowa Medical Society, the Iowa Academy of Family Practice and is a Diplomat and Fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
“The community is fortunate to have a number of qualified and well trained physicians,” said Dr. Argo in his letter to his patients. “I am confident you will be well cared for by any of my partners at Family Medical Center.”
Dr. Argo’s last day for seeing patients will be June 29. For more information contact Family Medical Center, 672-2571, or their web site, www.fmcpc.net.
